I love the Pixies. And not in a retro hipster way – I grew up with their music back when the radio actually played good music. But that’s a different post.

So I’m looking up Pixies songs to learn on my ukulele (yes, I’m a uker!), and am so thankful for all the people who have uploaded their live performances on the YouTubes. Because without them, I probably never would have seen this awesome performance by Kim Deal:

And found this comment that struck a chord with me, from someone I may never meet but who I’d probably love to see at a concert somewhere in Deutschland dancing his ass off:

Yep the guys had hair back then. And they sweated when they played their songs which they wrote themselves. And the crowd danced to it like gone wild and sweated their butt off. And everyone was happy and pissed and everything was fucking great and noone gave a shit about religion and politics. Amen
